Add hr (horizontal line) in footer of all pages

How can I add a hr for all of my pages in the space?

in the space settings navigate to the: "Look and Feel" -> "Header and footer" and type type four dashes in a row in the field Footer:

have you saved the settings?

Please try to also add some text to the footer and save it to be able to find it on the page.

Thanks for your help. Yes, I do save it but it's like nothing's there. even when I put some dummy text. I added some rules in PDF stylesheet (FYI).

To be honest I don't know what else to try. It works for me, so it looks like some sort of  bug :-(
