All, if you have ever had issues trying to follow the steps for the create-a-confluence-hello-world-macro/ you will notice that the instructions were last updated in 2017, and the source on BitBucket was updated in 2016. Since then, several things have changed, making it very difficult to get through the tutorial.

While intended for users new to plugin development, I am in infrequent developer, so use it to a) make sure my tool chain is updated, and b) refresh my understanding of the flow.

If you have had similar issues (or just believe tutorials should be updated more frequently that than every five years), please follow and vote for the following issue: CONFSERVER-79769
