"Storing and accessing videos inside Confluence Server"

Hi anyone interested ..

  • We'd like to be able to (in minutes not hours) create videos of any length then create a landing page in Confluence (to help gather comments, track viewers, onshare etc.) and store the video there (not on YouTube which our security folks are not comfortable us use).
  • We'd be interested if anyone has similar interest &/or currently using the same or similar approach.
  • Basic idea is to use video to transfer company knowhow & need to know instead of relying on (time consuming) words & images creation as Confluence &/or MSWord or other type page / article creation.
  • We currently can't (reasons still unknown) upload (to our Confluence server (version 6.15.6 by the way) any .mp4 over about 25Mb (approx. 2 minutes).
  • Any ideas / experiences / others interested .. welcome to gather here .. (only need one usable idea to remove this fast knowledge transfer speedhump ..) :)
  • Cheers - Hugh (St Kilda Rd., Melbourne)

Confluence should be quite happy to do this, assuming you have the capacity to host it on your server. But you said:

Do you mean you haven't changed the default attachment size from 100MB to 25MB or it is set to 100MB, but the upload is failing?
