Looking for tester/feedback. Embedding existing attachments into a page

Kilian Brachtendorf May 7, 2021

With the new fabric editor it is no longer possible to add existing attachments to a page.

Referencing files from a different space and inserting files to a page without the need of re-uploading is a core feature, and its lack prevents maintainable version management.

After 2 years of an open feature request CONFCLOUD-65344  we decided to create an add-on which restores this functionality and provides additional features like inserting attachments as inline download links, supporting different display types and the ability to create a hard copy attachments from a different space.

Starting next week we are moving to a closed beta test and are looking for testers who are eager to try out the macro and give some feedback.

The new add-on tightly integrates into the confluence editor by providing 2 macros.
