Is anyone else bewildered by the new Confluence navigation?

It looks pretty, sure..

But a simple tree based page view can't be set as the default.

A lot of the things I used to do were one click away, they now require some exploring or navigating away from the current view. In some cases (like the reorder tool) I still can't find them at all.

Maybe this has helped someone? But for my peers and I this has made it a slower more awkward process. I don't feel like it can have been evaluated fully.

I concur - things are different and just poking around helped navigate around. If only they could make the buttons pop out more. For instance after selecting the "Pages" icon, the upper right corner contains a button that says "Reorder Pages". The button is the same color as the page and easy to miss. Good thing is the reorder page still remains within the Space Tools (if you used that to reorder pages before the update). Space Tools >> Content Tools >> Reorder Pages.

In all, I agree with everyone on the fact of the drastic change was abrupt.
