We just did an update to 7.4.4 and there is an expectation that we can embed and edit office docs without downloading and re-uploading.
This is a little snippet from 5.9 documentation. "The Office Connector allows you to edit attached office files in their native application (such as Word, Excel, PowerPoint or OpenOffice) and save the file right back to the Confluence page. No need to download and re-upload the file."
Well, I see Office Connector is going away and Office Companion is the way of the future. It works pretty nicely, especially combined with the office macros. Display nicely in the page, editing and saving is quick. But it still involves downloading and uploading.
Are we looking for functionality that isn't supported anymore or am I missing it in here?
Thanks!
