Hi @Hayath Khan K - it should work fine as it is mentioned in documentation

And 

What does your link look like? Is it grey (like not working)? Where is your anchor leading to? Anchors can be a little bit tricky cause you have to pay attention on which site it is, is it leading to another anchor (anchor macro) or even to another space.

Maybe you can give us a little bit more information how you tested it. 

It should work like this

On one page

  • create an anchor with name "somename" {anchormacro}

On another page

  • show "Insert link" popup -> Advanced link -> in link field enter "#somename" (without quotes) -> save link
