Confluence 7.15.0 - JIRA 8.1.0 - User Directory Not Connecting.

Mike Elliott December 7, 2021

Application Links between the two servers isn't working. Network Error.

The remote certificate can't be trusted

Embedded Team Jira may be using a self-signed SSL certificate or a certificate that was issued by a certificate authority that isn't known locally.

JIRA and Confluence are on separate servers, the link went down after we upgraded Confluence to 7.15.0.

Does JIRA need to be updated or is this a certificate issue?

Please help.

Thanks,

Hi @Mike Elliott ,

The issue seems to be certificate related. The application link was attempting to communicate over HTTPS with the remote application but can’t trust the remote SSL certificate.

The remote application may be using a self-signed SSL certificate or a certificate that was issued by a certificate authority that isn't known by the local application.

If the certificate is self-signed, you can import the certificate into the Java trust store, for the JVM that the local application is using.
