Comala Workflows

My comany is intending to use a workflow in one of our spaces that is geared for our external customers ( with view rights only). This space has a great amount of documentation that was published without a Comala workflow.

I'm finding that if we go and edit one of the documents and attach the workflow in this space, anyone with view rights can select the page from the page tree but they get an error message stating the following: "Error: You are trying to view a page which does not yet have a published version available and you do not have permission to view draft version". Once the workflow gets to a published state, the customer can then see the new published version.

Is their a way for the external customer to see the published version (as we add the new workflow). We don't want to have to move the document to a different working space in order to run the workflow and then have to move it back again.

Any advice would greatly be appreciated.

Hi Teri,

Have you considered Comala Publishing? It allows you separate 'draft' and 'published' content into separate spaces and manage synchronisation between each. You can integrate it with Comala Workflows so that when a page is approved it will be published to the space open to your external customers.

Hope that helps

James
