403 Error When Accessing Confluence Cloud

Edited

My organization sent an email out to a large population yesterday that included links to articles on our public instance of Confluence Cloud. Many users are complaining that they are receiving 403 errors when they click on the links. If they clear their cache or switch browsers the link is viewable. Also, when I am logged in and go to the site, I often get a blank screen and have to clear my cache.

Shouldn't this just work? It makes it appear that something is wrong to the user, which is frustrating.

I contacted support and they mentioned that we are not the only customer bringing this to their attention. They also explained how caching works. Hopefully, all of our site visitors know how to inherently clear their caches. Or hopefully, this just gets fixed.

If you are experiencing this issue, I encourage you to vote for this suggestionCLOUD-10762: Redirect page to Altassian login or Confluence/Jira Home when hit to error.
