You’re invited: Confluence for MS Teams Live demo + Q&A

This past summer, we joined forces with Microsoft Teams as a part of our mission to help your team collaborate better, starting with more effective meetings. We released a new and improved Confluence app for Microsoft Teams to bring you a refreshingly connected meeting experience.

The Confluence for Teams app allows teams to collaboratively capture in-meeting notes, making meetings more focused and meaningful. Knowledge is only valuable when it can be shared, which is why the Confluence for Teams app allows teams to effortlessly share information by using automation to format, organize, and distribute notes. The app’s automation features ensure meeting notes are instantly shared in the team chat, including aggregating action items and decisions, so teams are kept informed with a single source of truth and accountable for next steps. Additionally, it integrates right where people work – in chat, meetings, and channels – to streamline tools and reduce context switching. With the Confluence for Teams app, teams are able to unlock a more open, cohesive flow of information to collaborate better and get to “done” faster.

This week, we’re teaming up with Microsoft for a live, in-depth demo of the app and to show you what’s new since we launched earlier this year. Tune in Thursday, December 9th at 1 PM Eastern Time to hear from the product team and ask your Confluence for Teams questions live!

Update (12/10): Missed the live event? No worries! We've embedded the recording below.

Does everyone in the Teams meeting need to have a Confluence user license to view Confluence pages in Teams?

Hi there, our admins allowed the app in Teams but when trying to add the app it doesn't show up in search - any suggestions on what to do?

@Bill Bailey We do have an app for Confluence Server for Microsoft Teams but we not planning on a live demo.

@Albert Cantero We do not but we have other alternatives in our marketplace.

@Stacey Brown No, everyone in the meeting (as long as your Microsoft Teams settings allow it) will be able to see the notes but the user that publishes the notes will need to be logged into their Atlassian account. If they want to see a pinned tab in a Team channel or chat, they will need to log in.

@Florian Juen Please have your admin review these settings to make sure they've properly allowed you to access the app.
