You asked, we delivered: Your most searched for Confluence templates are here! 🎉

Hi everyone!

My name is Sumeeta and I'm a product marketer on the Confluence team. I’m super excited to share that we have created 18 brand new page and whiteboard templates that are now available in Confluence!

Many of you have already taken advantage of our 100+ templates to streamline your work, enhance collaboration, and boost productivity on Confluence. We wanted to add to that momentum by building out some of your most searched for templates. We also partnered with Lenny Rachitsky - a well known influencer within the product management community, for his top-rated business newsletter (LennysNewsletter.com) and popular podcast, Lenny’s Podcast - to create three of his best templates.

This diverse set of templates cater to a wide range of needs and are aimed at empowering you to work more efficiently. We hope they make your day-to-day tasks easier.

Your feedback is invaluable to us, so please let us know which templates you find most exciting and what other templates you would like to see in the future!

Hi @Sumeeta Kumar ,
Thank you for sharing.
Regarding the SOP template (the only one I viewed), several fundamental sections are missing, which reduces the SOP to a technical how-to. Plus, why not take advantage of macros' new features of Confluence to assist in managing them?
Sections that are missing:
Goals, key principals, high-level process (end to end), controls to acknowledge and mitigate the weak points of the procedure, and versioning.

The missing section helps the SOP creators and users establish a greater understanding of the procedure, its context, and the decision-making process that should be outlined in the relevant stages.

For the main features of Confluence that are not used - the table of metadata details of the SOPs that is currently set up as a regular table could have become a working tool by applying page property report/database instead.

Best,
Tami

Great to see Templates going live for Whiteboards - is there any timeframe/plan to allow us to 'save as' template?

We currently have a dirty workaround for this and would be good to know if this is on the roadmap.

Hey @Sarah St John! This is a great q and definitely functionality we want to see in product in the future. We don't have an exact timeline for you but it is on our mid-term roadmap and something we're looking at adding.

I'm always excited to see new Templates. However, unless CONFCLOUD-27596 is implemented, most of our users will never have the opportunity to use them. They cannot create or modify any templates in their own Spaces, since only Space Administrators can do so. This certainly limits the adoption and use rate of Confluence as a tool in our organization (speaking as an individual here; my views are my own). But hey, @Sumeeta Kumar great looking Templates! Maybe you can push the dev team to work on the above issue?
