Why start from scratch? Introducing four new templates for Confluence Cloud

Hi my Community friends!

For those who don't know me, I'm a product marketer on the Confluence Cloud team - nice to meet you! For those of you who do, you know that I've been all up in your Community face (like here and here) about how you use Confluence and what types of content you create, and all of our conversations have involved the use of templates!

I think we can all agree that across any team, templates are about more than just saving time. Templates help us maintain consistency across teams and departments by organizing work and information in a uniform way, making things easy to find. Using templates is also a good way to bring new teams into Confluence effectively.

I'm super excited to announce that we recently launched a template gallery and 4 new templates in Confluence Cloud that incorporate the ways that we carry out some processes internally:

  • Project plan
  • Product launch plan
  • Marketing plan
  • Persona

To get all the details of each template, check out our blog here.

This is just the beginning and I'd love to use this thread to hear more about the different types of templates you'd love to see in the future!

Love it! Wondered where those magical little nuggets came from!

The Persona one is particularly awesome.

Hi @Kesha Thill,

Nice to meet you! Are you in Mountain View or AU?

I don't use templates much since I'm pretty much the only direct user of Confluence at my company, but we have lots of people trying to read documents in our knowledge base through Jira Service Desk, and they aren't very happy.

The problem is that in a knowledge base format, the screenshots are pretty much illegible or cut off, or both (in PDF too!), and users can't click on a screenshot to see a bigger version.

Anything you can do to help me improve the quality of the screenshots that go into Confluence in the first place (preferred format, sizing, browser, or similar tips)? And can you help get a feature in Confluence/JSD that lets users tap on a knowledge base screenshot to see a bigger version?

And no, I don't want my users poking around in the Confluence UI itself, especially anonymously, which is why I'm using a knowledge base for the UI.

Thanks,

Sara

Are these templates available to download for Confluence server?

Hi Kesha. I could make good use of this project planning template and weekly status report. Do you know whether AT&T's tSpace application, which I understand is based on Confluence, will be receiving these templates?
