Hi Atlassian Community,
Matthew here from the Confluence Cloud team! I’m writing to share with you that we’ve added the ability to change and transfer ownership of whiteboards, databases, and Smart Links in the content tree. This was previously only available for pages.
We know how important accurate content ownership is for maintaining Confluence as a source of truth, so we’re happy to support this functionality beyond just pages.
When a page, whiteboard, database, or Smart Link in the content tree is created in Confluence, the person who created it also becomes the owner by default. The content item’s owner (or a space or Confluence product admin) can transfer ownership to another user at any time, as a way of indicating who should be the “point person” for the content.
For details on how to change ownership, review our documentation: https://support.atlassian.com/confluence-cloud/docs/transfer-ownership-of-your-page-to-another-person/ or https://support.atlassian.com/confluence-cloud/docs/transfer-ownership-of-a-page-from-one-user-to-another/.
Thanks!
Matthew Machuca
