The Confluence Cloud Mobile App now has 14 new languages!

Confluence has been localized

We’ve made the Confluence Cloud mobile app a little more personal by offering it in a handful of the many languages our global users speak.

If your phone preference is currently set to one of the 14 additional languages listed below, you don’t need to adjust any settings within the Confluence app. Just make sure you are on the latest version, v1.89 on Android, or v2.79 on iOS (or later). The app will automatically switch to your chosen language. Please upgrade, if you haven’t already: iOS and Android.

What languages does the app now support?

1. Czech

2. Dutch

3. English (US & UK)

4. Finnish

5. French

6. German

7. Italian

8. Japanese

9. Korean

10. Polish

11. Portuguese (Brazil)

12. Russian

13. Simplified Chinese

14. Spanish

15. Swedish

How can I set the language I want?

If your phone is set to one of the above 14 languages, you shouldn’t have to do any settings. The app will switch to that language when you upgrade to v1.89 on Android, or v2.79 on iOS (or later).

If you’d like to specify a language for Confluence that is different from your default phone setting, you can do that too! Follow these instructions for iOS.

On Android, it’s a little bit easier to change your app’s localization. Go into your account profile in the Confluence app and tap on Language. In the resulting screen, you’ll see a selection of languages that will take you to your device’s settings.

What about push notifications?

The language of Push Notifications will be aligned to what you have set your Atlassian account to, on the web. To change, go to https://id.atlassian.com/manage-profile/account-preferences

Sign in to your account, select Account preferences, and set your global account preference to the language of choice. Note this selection will be reflected across Confluence and Jira on the web.

Are there more languages planned?

Yes! We’re planning on adding three additional languages shortly: Hungarian, Norwegian, and Danish. We’re working on those now, so stay tuned and keep an eye on the release notes.
