👋 Community! Avinoam from Confluence Automation here to give you a recap of 10 BIG features we've either already released in just this last month, or that will be shipping very shortly:
Whether you're in Confluence or Jira, you can now automatically call on any one of your Rovo agents automatically as part of your workflows. For example, you can create an automation to have your data analyzer Rovo agent analyze your customer feedback and then share it out per theme in your team's slack channel.
To make things even more powerful - you can now also use the agents response smart value and include it dynamically in the page content via the Publish new page action so that you can automatically publish a weekly page with the agent's analysis already in the page's body.
You'll now see two new templates dedicated to Loom to unlock use cases for async video collaboration. For example - you can have a rule that'll send an email notifying you and your team when someone adds a Loom video into Confluence.
You can now add a smart button, which with the click of a button, will create the right Jira ticket in the right project to move your product development forward quickly and contextually.
We've nearly doubled the amount of smart button templates as we continue to work towards allowing you the ability to eventually create your own smart button templates, with the following new templates:
Smart buttons thrive at enabling workflows directly within the context of a page, which is why we've added them directly to some of our top Blueprints to make it easier for you to use and to supercharge the workflows these blueprints drive. For example - in the Product Requirements blueprint we've added a "Mark approved" smart button in a panel at the top of the page which automatically change the page owner and send them an email knowing the PRD is approved and good to go!
As you complete certain one off actions such as adding a label or archiving a page, we'll occasionally jump in with a contextual recommendation to automate the process. We've now added how much time can be saved by actually leveraging automation to automate manual processes. Here's an example from our contextual prompt when adding a label to a page:
We're adding a new alert trigger as well as dedicated templates to support Guard Premium's alert use cases for finding sensitive information within content and taking the appropriate remediation steps. For example: if a page has a SSN or Credit Card information to automatically send an email and/or lock down the page until it is remediated. We'll be sharing more depth of info on this one once it launches in the coming days/weeks :)
In addition to the project created trigger we're going to also add a Issue created trigger so that you can create true cross-product automations from Confluence automation based on when an issue or project has been created in Jira based on any criteria.
Most of these are already available for all Premium and Enterprise using Automation for Confluence, and the rest are coming very soon!
We’d love your feedback so please feel free to schedule time with us directly here or drop a comment on this post 🙏
