What is the Confluence for Figma widget?
The Confluence for Figma widget is a new integration between Figma and Atlassian that brings Figma designs and Confluence documentation together. With it, you can embed Confluence content into Figma design files for easy access and side-by-side views of your documents and designs while you work in Figma.
Why did we build it?
After engaging in many discussions with our community, we heard that switching between various tools to accomplish a single task continues to be a major pain point in your day-to-day work. For many Figma users, Confluence serves as the central location where teams store details about the projects they are involved in such as goals, objectives, timelines, user stories, product requirements, and more. As a consequence of this, users found themselves frequently switching between tabs when working. So with this in mind, we thought, “why not bring Confluence project documentation closer to workflows in Figma?”
We hope this integration streamlines your workflows by avoiding the need to search for relevant project information by bringing it directly into Figma.
Who is it for?
While designers spend a lot of time in Figma, we know that there are plenty more individuals who have a hand in Figma to bring projects to life. By using this integration, cross-functional teams encompassing product managers, program managers, marketers, engineers, and more will benefit. The Confluence for Figma widget ensures that all stakeholders have access to the same, up-to-date context on projects, fostering a shared understanding, aligning everyone towards a common goal, and making more-informed decisions.
Be a beta tester and try it out today
There’s more we’re planning to introduce to the widget – like editing, commenting, and updating Confluence pages directly from within Figma. Share your feedback and ideas with us in the comments to help us improve.
