No Question Left Behind - The Grand Prize winners, plus January bonus winners!

The time has come to announce the winners of the Confluence No Question Left Behind contest!

When we last left our Confluence question-answering heroes, they were competing for the grand prize of a custom remote hosted cocktail session with the fabulous Covert Cocktail Club. However, with our TWIST, we added three cozy, Confluence-branded Nike hoodies awarded to three other people in the top 20 for January!

@Mandy Ross , One obvious thing I will point out is that there is a lot of really old posts out there that should simply be closed out. In my efforts to whittle down the list of unanswered Confluence posts, I spent time looking at some of the old stuff and inquiring with the user as to whether they found a solution or whether the problem has disappeared. In my opinion we need to find a way to simply close the post down after a period of time. I know this has been discussed in the CAB previously but I don't think we have a really good process for that yet, IMO.

That aside this was a great effort and accomplishment by some dedicated Community leaders so a huge thanks and congratulations to all those that contributed.

Hey @Jack Brickey ! Thanks for the feedback. Agree that we need a better process for this - perhaps @Monique vdB might add this to the CAB agenda again to resurface the need? cc @Bridget

@Jack Brickey in your experience what would make the most sense for these posts, would it be the ability to:

  • Close comments on it with a note to start a new discussion instead
  • Mark the post outdated somehow
  • Deindex the post from Google search results
  • Archive the post so its no longer visible on community
  • Flag the post for our content team and let them handle it

The answer could be a combination of these, but curious based on your insight, what feels the most appropriate here?

@Monique vdB

Something similar to the spam quarantine would work. Deleting/de-index them would be ideal so that they don't show on the search.
