Hello Community! šš¼
Iām Makisa, a product manager on Confluence Server and Data Center. Today, I wanted to share a new dashboard that will make it easier for you to see what bug fixes we are working on, so you can better manage your instance and plan upgrades.
Similar to the Jira Server & Data Center team, weāre launching a jira.atlassian.com dashboard:
This dashboard will provide you with a view into our short term backlog and includes the following key information:
Bugs that have been prioritised and are currently being worked on
Issues or feature suggestions that have been prioritised for development through a project/theme of work
Version the fix will be shipped in so you can track when the update will be available.
We will have the following columns on the board to track the progress of issues.
Short term backlog (bug fixes): This lets you know that a fix for this issue is required and has been prioritised for resolution in the next three months. We will be monitoring how we progress these issues across the board, as our main aim is to provide a clear and accurate view of what we will be working on. We will intentionally keep this backlog small to reflect our prioritised list and it will change as new issues arise and are added.
In progress: These are the issues that the development teams are currently working on.
Waiting for release: A fix for this issue has been implemented and is waiting to be shipped in a release.
Recently resolved: This column will give you an insight into what will soon be shipping and what has shipped in a recently released version of the product. If itās fixed, the Fix Version field will indicate the product version that contains the fix. If no code changes were required, the resolution will be āDuplicate', 'Won't fix', 'Handled by support', 'Timed out', or similar.
This dashboard shows a portion of our work as not all features and bug fixes we ship are listed in our public issue tracker. There may also be issues or features that youāve voted for that donāt appear in this board. If a feature suggestion or bug is not listed on this dashboard, it may be going through the triage process or moved to our long term backlog for future consideration. For further details, you can see our Atlassian Server Bug Fix Policy, which covers the bug fix workflow, how bugs are categorised and how we target releases for these fixes.
We hope this dashboard gives you more insight into our upcoming releases, and helps you plan for upgrades. Finally, thanks for your comments, votes and watches on the issues that are relevant to you as this always helps to give us more context on how bugs affect your Confluence experience.
