Hi @Jeff Scattini ,

Thanks for reaching out. As mentioned here https://community.atlassian.com/t5/Confluence-articles/How-we-roll-out-the-new-editor-in-Confluence/ba-p/1204966 we're going to soon start rolling out opt in page level migrations from the legacy editor to the new.

We'll only migrate content that can convert properly unless you explicitly choose to migrate non-supported content. Moving forward we're still working towards solving for all cases of page content migrations. Until we can't migrate those you won't need to migrate your pages unless you choose to.

Thanks,

Avinoam

@Avinoam Interesting, thank you for the link. I must have missed that update.  And thanks for the speed of your response, it's appreciated.

For reference, most of our pages are similarly formatted as Kelvin has described on the other page. At the moment, I cannot in good faith recommend that we start migrating at all to the new editor or even attempt to start using it in new pages as I cannot guarantee that my users would not accidentally try to make an update and end up wiping out entire page trees of content.

I'll place all of my other comments on the new page you've linked.

This functionality is not user friendly to use. What has happened to fixed width columns?

Would be awesome to also be able to filter tables

@Anya Yugova You can make a page full screen while in edit mode. There is a button for it on the top right side of the content section of the page.

Well you seem to have broken all my anchor macros :/

Is there a way to set the default page width to full width for all users by default?  not just for me?

Jesenko Bajovic September 12, 2022

Hi,

Could you make the full width the default state

  • in the default freshly instantiated Confluence
  • already instantiated Confluence to be modified by an admin?

I don't understand who likes extra white space lost on both sides of each page. Perhaps just a few users, therefore, let them change the width from full width

Thanks,

Jesenko
