📣 Export & Import Your Rules in Automation for Confluence⚡️

👋 Community! Avinoam from Confluence Automation once again, and today, I'm so happy to announce that you can now export and import your automation rules in Confluence!

How does it work

Now you can export your individual rules. Screenshot 2024-01-30 at 10.43.34 AM.png

Or if you’re an administrator for your site, you can export all the rules!

Selecting either option downloads a simple JSON file that you can then import into any automation enabled product in three easy steps.

During the import process, you can customize the scope you want your imported rules to operate at (global, single space, multi space) or keep them the same (if the space already exists). Imported rules get saved in a default disabled state so that you can make any final changes in the rule details screen before turning on your imported rule.

We want to hear from you!

We’d love your feedback so please feel free to schedule time with us directly here or drop a comment on this post

I love how Confluence Automation is reaching parity with Jira Automation.

This is great news @Avinoam. Thanks for sharing. This will allow a lot more teams to test rules and import intro production or other production instances without making the normal human mistakes.

Keep up the great work.

It would make users with the Standard license happier if articles like these mentioned this feature is only available to Confluence Premium and Enterprise.

For everyone,  please include a link to the documentation for Confluence Automation.

Does anyone else have the problem that Confluence Rules can no longer be imported at the moment?

At the end of March this was still possible without any problems and now the two options to export all rules and import rules have simply disappeared from the dropdown. I can only see "Global configuration" 😭
