Hello Confluence Community 👋,
We’re excited to share a new unified experience to share and restrict content in Confluence! You’re invited to join our Early Access Program (EAP) to be among the first customers to explore and provide feedback on this new feature.
Unifying the share and restrict experiences makes it possible to add users, audit and manage user access, and share content all in one place across all Confluence content types. If you’ve used other documentation and collaboration tools, you’ll be familiar with this style of content access management and sharing.
From a new, single share and restrict button, you can modify content restrictions, notify users and groups when you give them access, and easily share content.
Gone are the days of navigating through multiple restrictions dialogs to grant access to a colleague who was blocked by space or parent page access restrictions. You can now resolve parent container and space access restrictions at the point of sharing
Send a custom message when sharing content or updating access, or uncheck the box to share silently - how you notify is up to you! Built-in warnings when notifying groups prevent accidental overshares.
Sign up today for exclusive access to the new unified share and restrict experience.
Please note: In order to participate, you’ll need someone in an administrative role at the site or organization level to sign up for this EAP. Interested in the Early Access Program, but not an admin? Message your admin to sign up! |
The EAP is set to launch at the end of September, 2024.
Customers on Standard, Premium, and Enterprise editions of Confluence are welcome to participate.
In order to participate, you’ll need someone in an administrative role at the site or organization level to sign up for this EAP.
We will limit the number of participants for this EAP so that we can properly manage the feedback that comes in as part of it, and will reach out to your team if you’ve been accepted into the program.
Throughout the EAP, we will use a private community group to communicate with all participants. We ask that you provide feedback on the feature and insights about your experience, including usability and performance.
We are committed to making the unified share and restrict experience the best it can be, and are eager to receive your valuable input. If you have any questions about the EAP or the new unified share and restrict content feature, please comment below.
