Hi Community 👋
Have you ever created a page and couldn’t remember which space you created it in? Or created a child page and wanted to keep the same naming convention as the rest of the pages in your space but had to open a new tab for reference?
Never again! We’ve made the Confluence sidebar (content tree) and top navigation visible while editing!
I’m Lingyang Zhu, a frontend engineer on the Confluence Cloud team. I’m excited to share a new enhancement to creating and editing Confluence pages and blogs! Extending the powerful organizational structure and navigation means you can stay oriented, even while creating and updating content.
What’s new?
You now have access to the same editing capabilities but with the additional context provided by the content tree and the top navigation menu.
And if you like the option for fullscreen, distraction-free editing, don’t worry, the sidebar can be collapsed and expanded as needed at any time.
We've also updated the editor toolbar to streamline formatting.
The first row now contains Confluence-specific items like the breadcrumb menu and Publish or Update buttons, and the second row contains format-specific items.
Cool! When will I get it?
We are rolling this feature out to all cloud sites over the next few weeks, so if you don’t see it on your Confluence cloud instance today, it should come to your site soon. We hope you enjoy it! Please leave any feedback below in the comments and stay tuned for more features!
