Confluence Holiday Workshop: Mad Libs

Hi Confluence Community and happy December! ✨ As the end of the year approaches, this month is often a time of reflection for both teams and individuals. However, the holiday season is also a joyful time – and the perfect opportunity to channel your inner-child! Our first activity of the Confluence Holiday Workshop sits right at the intersection of these things…We’ve created a Mad Libs that will hopefully spark some thoughtful reflection…and goofiness! Here’s how it works:
  1. Copy + paste the numbered list below (“Word Bank”) and fill it out with the word(s) listed for each item
  2. Populate the blank spaces in the Mad Libs text with the corresponding numbered words from your word bank list – you can utilize the graphic template below OR copy/paste the body text 
  3. Share your results with us in the comments of this post!

As all MadLibs are, this is a little chaotic. 😂

It was the end of the year and the 1.cheery 2.Services team had 3.excitedly gathered for a year-end retrospective. Outside the weather was 4.snazzy, but the mood was 5.gold  as 2.the Services team reflected on their 6.delicious year. They had faced plenty of 7.delicious challenges as a 8.hybrid team, but 2.the Services team navigated them 9.calmly. In fact, they even 10.consolidated redundant flavor factories. How did they do it? With 11.buttercream, of course! They also utilized Confluence to 12.centralize knowledge on their favorite recipes. 2.The Services team had mastered 13.a birds-eye view of their inventory with the help of 14.page properties report. They were confident that the year ahead would bring more 15.amicable 16.tacocats because of their 17.honest communication style.

Ok this was a ton of fun to do!  Thank you @Meg Bailey!

First, 8 year old me would have replaced everything with the word "butt".  I'll let you read through what that would end up like on your own.  If you are still immature like me, you may even chuckle at it :)

Here's how mine ended up:

It was the end of the year and the energetic R&D Team had secretly gathered for a year-end retrospective. Outside the weather was bold, but the mood was courageous as the R&D Team reflected on their curious year. They had faced plenty of eager challenges as a hybrid team, but the R&D Team navigated them often. In fact, they even successfully split their Confluence Instance into smaller spaces. How did they do it? With a baby, of course! They also utilized Confluence to share information with the entire company. The R&D Team had mastered tasks with the help of Page Templates. They were confident that the year ahead would bring more quick computers because of their collaboration.

It was the end of the year and the self-organized Confluence Operations team had excitedly gathered for a year-end retrospective.

Outside the weather was blizzard, but the mood was sunny as the Confluence Operations team reflected on their substantive year. They had faced plenty of eager challenges as a operation with only 2 people team, but the self-organized Team navigated them often.

In fact, they even successfully completed the version upgrade from 6.15 to 7.13. How did they do it? With Uninterrupted service, of course! They also utilized Confluence to share information with the entire company.

The Confluence Operations team had mastered new features with the page analytics. They were confident that the year ahead would bring more User PV because of their hot spot tracking and continuous user experience improvement.

How did they do it? With 11. meticulous documentation, of course! In fact, they even rolled out JSM to better keep track of all the new activities in the club. How did they do it? With Scott Clarke, of course! They also utilized Confluence to document and categorize every detail. Hawkins middle school A.V. club team had mastered the alien categorization with the help of templates and @mentions. They were confident that the year ahead would bring more exuberance creatures because of their outstanding innovative thinking and extra high technology adoption rate.

It was the end of the year and the evergreen Production Team had curiously gathered for a year-end retrospective. Outside the weather was gloomy, but the mood was cheery as Production Team reflected on their challenging year. They had faced plenty of productive challenges as a remote team, but Production Team navigated them confidently. In fact, they even managed to shoot an episode for their series though team was globally distributed. How did they do it? With technology, of course! They also utilized Confluence to share script pages with respective cast & crew. Production Team had mastered script secrecy with the help of Page restrictions in Confluence. They were confident that the year ahead would bring more loyal audiences because of their effective collaboration skills.

They were confident that the year ahead would bring more happy administrator because of their diversity and inclusion.
