Hi, I’m Hannah, a designer on the Confluence Cloud team.
We’ve recently made improvements to the look, feel, and overall experience of 4 of our most popular macros, and I wanted to share all the details with you.
The Child pages (formerly known as “Children Display”) and Recent updates (formerly called “Recently Updated”) macros now have:
The Filter by label macro (formerly known as “Content by Label”) now has:
a new + improved name and icon as well,
a revamped, better-organized filters dropdown,
and a refreshed configuration set-up to make the whole process quicker and more clear.
And last but not least, the Insert excerpt macro (formerly known as “Excerpt Include”) now has:
a new + improved name and icon,
a revamped excerpt search-and-select experience for quicker, more accurate selection,
and the inclusion of the excerpt name and its source page’s title on the excerpt’s frame, for greater context and clarity.
To try any of these macros out, just type / and the macro name while editing a Confluence page or hit the + menu on the toolbar to browse for what you’re looking for.
Please note that updates to our documentation for these macros are forthcoming and will be posted soon. Our hope is to continue making upgrades and improvements to the way pages work for you and your teams on Confluence.
Lastly, if you’ve got any feedback, we’d love to hear from you in the comments below!
