π Avinoam for Automation for Confluence here once again π
In this previous post "π£ Automation for Confluence - Now Available to End Users! π" we introduced Automation for Confluence to end users for the first time through the lightning bolt menu on the top of your pages.
Given all your amazing feedback on our first release of this - I am super excited to announce that as of today weβre expanding Automation for Confluence for end users to the page tree as well to make it even more contextual and easy to use!
With this feature, end users will be able to trigger a specific action (pre-defined and set up by their space/site admin) from the Confluence page tree menu for a given page. Admins will additionally be able to create additional manual triggers and manage those than appear to end users on Confluence pages and via the page tree.
For all Premium & Enterprise users weβve added an automation lightning bolt icon to the page tree menu.
No changes here - it will continue to behave as follows:
In the automation rule builder, "Manual triggers from page" is available as new a trigger
In the component configuration panel, admins can customize whether they want to prompt end users for input when the manual rule is triggered using:
short text
paragraph
drop down
number
checkbox
You can leave this trigger in its most simple configuration as a one-click execution for all users that can access a page. The manually triggered rule can be restricted to certain users or groups. You can even ask the end-user for input that can be reflected in the rule execution. In the example below, the end-user text input for Field 1 can be accessed throughout the rest of the rule with the {{userInputs.fieldOne}} smart value.
Once you create the rest of your rule, save it, and enable it, the manually triggered rule should be visible from the menu mentioned above.
It's already available to all Premium and Enterprise Admins and their Confluence users!
Weβd love your feedback so please feel free to schedule time with us directly here or drop a comment on this post
