👋 Community! Avinoam from Confluence Automation here again, and this time, I'm super excited to let you know that we now support Database triggers and actions, as well as templates, to enable you to create Databases directly from automation!
Let's start from the templates which are basically a pre packaged set of use cases for you to kick off your use of Databases with automation. The primary use case to to automatically create a Database once a page has been created that related to a certain process that can gain value from having a whiteboard involved, for example: Whenever a page is created related to "Project planning" add a child Database to it as part of gathering all your project's information in one source of truth.
Once you land in Automation for Confluence, you can quickly search for "Database" and as part of the Collaborate category you'll see three new templates highlighting the following use cases for systematic Database creation. Here's one example template:
You'll notice once you click into any of the templates that we've already included the AI Condition to find any related content in the title of the page. If you want to broaden this approach you can change it to look for related content in the page body, and of course if you're looking for a 1:1 match you can change this condition to the smart value condition.
This is already live to all Confluence Premium and Enterprise customers!
