Atlassian Guard Data Classification πŸ”’ now Supported in Automation for Confluence ⚑️

πŸ‘‹ Community! Avinoam from Confluence automation here again and today I'm proud to announce that you can now leverage automation rules in Confluence based on the all-new Atlassian Guard's data classification feature to systematically classify your Confluence pages at scale.

What does it look like, and what can you do with it?

Here's an example use case of how Automation + AI + Analytics + Data Classification + Verified pages can help you manage your content classification and accuracy at scale.

In the rule below whenever a page is published by a member of the finance team that has content related to revenue and earnings and has become popular by getting more than 1,000 views, it will automatically change the page's data classification to confidential and change the page status to verified.

Another use case for leveraging data classifications as the trigger for a rule is whenever a page's data classification is set to Confidential, the page will be restricted so that only the finance team can view and edit it, and a review notification will be sent to the page owner.

When it will be available?

This is already live to all Confluence Premium and Enterprise customers using Atlassian Guard premium!

We want to hear from you!

We’d love your feedback so please feel free to schedule time with us directly here or drop a comment on this post

Hi @Avinoam

Great to see some of the data classification stuff coming through. I can definitely see the later half of your post being the most useful. Always assigning spaces X classification unless overridden. Or if status y is set change classification etc.

Great work!!!

@Dan Tombs you can assign a default classification level at the space level for all content within that space. You can setup an automation to assign a default to all newly created spaces.

Do you have similar feature in Jira? Is it only available for premium or enterprise plan? Thanks.
