We are starting to use the Whiteboard functionality in multiple teams within Inter IKEA.  This has been very useful and a good alternative to Miro. However, we have stumbled across some improvements besides those listed under the suggestion with the component " Whiteboard confluence integration". See the ideas below:

During PI planning, we managed to link issues in Whiteboard which is visible in Jira (This is great). However, some users complained that they already settled the relationship within Jira. Is there any idea to visualize the relationship after a Jira issue import?

Another feedback we received regarding the import, was the difficulty of importing issues without prior JQL knowledge. Do you have any improvements in the pipeline? Similar functionality as in the basic JQL search would be great.

Furthermore, we also had some feedback on the imported issues. There is no ability to adjust the sizing or length of the items. If you for ex, create a simple timeline it would be great if you could resize the item to show that it goes over multiple columns.

Last but not least some users requested the option to import their stickers for diagramming as they felt that the library was rather limited.

Hi @Fredrik Wallter

Welcome to the Community! All good suggestions!

Have you provided this feedback via the feedback menu on Whiteboards? You can find that via the breadcrumbs (...) in the top-right corner of a Whiteboard (select "Give feedback")

For the search suggestion, not a direct solution - but users could...

  1. Go to search in Jira - Filters > View all issues
  2. Set their search parameters, using Basic search
  3. Select the "JQL" slider on the right-hand side of the search page, in line with the search bar. This will visualise the search as JQL
  4. Copy/paste the JQL from here
