Filling and Reading a Confluence database

My enthusiasm for the database features was unfortunately dampened when I learned that you can't insert them automatically from other pages, nor can you automatically read content from individual records into a new page that was previously configured as a template.

Are there any announcements about whether and when something like this will come?

Thanks Tom,

my request is more about having pages, where Content will be generated via survey.
The result should be covered in a database. Out of this database I  want to create contracts (via Templates). 
So it is an in and out and the database contains the data.

To be honest, I'm not sure whether Confluence is the right tool at all. We are currently using Jira for Workflows and in addition an Excel file to capture the data and produce a pdf.
