Date picker hidden for bottom rows!

Chris January 19, 2024

Hi,

We've came across a scenario where we have table linked on a page where one of the columns is a date type. As you can se in the image below, we can only see and access the month as the date picker shows below the cell and in this case the container for the embeded link cuts it off. Is this a common experience?

Would be handy if it could act dynamically and show to the right (or where there's room) if possible. Or act as i does in main DB page and exands the vertical size of the page to display the dropdown/picker, i.e expand the container size if a drop down/date picker requires that to show.

Hi @Chris

Thank you for reporting the issue! I was able to verify that this is indeed an edge case. Normally, when embedding a database on a page, the date picker will show up to the top or bottom of the cursor depending on where on cell is at:

Appearing below the cursor:

However, when the database only has one or two entries, there is not enough space for the date picker to show up:

I will relay this behavior to the team to have it looked at. In the mean time, to get around the issue, you could add a few entries to give the embed some space to render the date picker.

This is a screenshot of the date picker once you add a third entry into the database:

Hope this helps!

Hi,

Ok I see, well found an edge case then. Thanks for looking into it!

I will keep that in mind as a workaround and as the DB grows the issue will disappear.

Thanks!

Mine seems to be working okay: Screenshot 2024-01-24 at 8.36.45 AM.png

@Ash Roberts cool! Seems like you have a few rows added (more than three entries as @Rebecca Dai mentioned to be the baseline).

Thanks for the feedback!
