Database values in created page?

Brad Miele August 9, 2024

Maybe I am missing something, In my database I have a page_link column that I use to create a page. My question is, how do I get the data from the other columns plus related data from linked databases in the template? Right now I can just create a page but then I have to go edit that page to add data from the db.

Hey @Brad Miele thanks for the question. Currently, you can select the "Display entry on page" option in this dropdown in the field settings panel for page link fields to have the entry smartlink added to pages created from that field.

If you're interested in having both an entry smartlink AND a template on a page created from a database, we're working on enabling this right now and it should be rolled out in the next few weeks.

Heya @Brad Miele  - Below are screenshots of what @Rachel Li mentioned.

In the screenshots below I used the "create a new page" function to make "A new page here". As soon as it was created, the linked columns were updated (owner and last updated), and when I navigate to the page, the backlink is automatically included in the FAQ (name of the DB) frame.

Curious if this is what you're asking for or if you're looking for something else?
