managing confluence cloud users with Jira service desk cloud

I see in the documentation that you can manage server based confluence users with server based jira service desk - but I don't see any reference to connecting the services if both are cloud based.

Can Jira service desk cloud manage confluence cloud users? We're hoping to achieve SSO without having to go to a Crowd subscription.

If you're using the Portal, your external customers don't use Atlassian Security.  They get Portal Security and just have access to everything via the portal.  If you want them to have access to Confluence pages, you need to set up a Knowledge Base to make the Articles available.

You can manage your internal users via security.  But if you have internal customers, that are setup as Customers for JSM, they get access via the portal.  If you have agents, you can make them users to the Confluence clould.  There are some other configurations that can be done from the KB settings in your JSM project.

Hi Matt,

You can manage the users in the Site Administration.

There, you have the option to visualize and manage the Site access for the users, in case you are an site-admin of the instance.

Under security, I don't get the option to put a check beside "External user management". Is this option not available for the cloud based versions of Confluence and Jira Service Desk?

Can I still control usage through Jira Service Desk if this option isn't checked in Confluence?
