Securely share content of Confluence into a Portal

Dear all

We are about to create a new B2B portal (HQ to business partners). It will be a headless construction including Front- and Back-end integrations, middleware etc. CMS used is Drupal 9, connected to the back-end integrations layer. This all will be hosted at an AWS or Azure environment.

Securely share content of Confluence into a Portal

My issue

We have a lot of information at our Confluence environment which we would like to have connected with the CMS part of this portal. Like manuals, product specifications etc.. To make it more clear, we would like to make this our "Single Source of Truth", the Portal grabs the content from Confluence and shows it in the front-end.

However there is one very big issue: Out Confluence environment is used bij Development (team collaboration, content holder for all projects), Operations and Sales, and we need to find a way to split all spaces from the space with all data we would like to share at the Portal (let's call this the "Portal Space".

It may never be possible to share or access data from spaces other than the portal space at the portal (or share otherwise outside Confluence.

My Questions

  1. Is there a way to securely separate Confluence content at the Portal Space from all other spaces ?
  2. When de Portal Space is separated from all other space, can we feed Confluence data directly into our Portal?

Remarks

  • We use documents with "Includes", stored in the same space
  • We use documents with images
  • We will keep using Confluence as content creator/ editor. We only want to share data at the portal (one way communication/ outbound)

Hi @Gerben Olthof

It sounds like this is something you would want to post in the Confluence community. This got posted as a question in the Opsgenie community.

Thanks,

Samir
