why doesn't the team task list sort by assignee?

Hello,

I want to use the task report to track certain action items for a team and sort by assignee.  I have set it up, but, it doesn't seem to sort in any way.  No matter what I put in the 'sort' box of the macro it doesn't sort by that.  Help - what can I do to make it sort?

Really all I want to do is have our team post a quick update or announcement (about 140 characters in length) via HipChat, which then also posts on our Confluence dashboard. Am I complicating things or is there an easier way to do this?

Well.. You're meant to chat in the client not in Confluence. =| All integrations I have seen is Atlassian XXX -> Hipchat and not the other way round. 

Though, the Hipchat's API is there for you to mess around with (https://www.hipchat.com/docs/apiv2/addons).
