How do I set an external link to auto open in a new tab?

When I embed links it opens in the current tab. I am building an onboarding resource page, it would be nice if people could open multiple resources without having to go back and forth or using the right-click. We are all on MacBook, some of our windows folks get frustrated with "right-clicking" on the touchpad.

I restarted the confluence process and the plugin management link returned.

Hallo Brian

Perhaps you only have "Confluence administrator" rights instead of "system administrator" rights? A Confluence administrator can see the Administration menu, but will not see all options in the menu. This documentation page describes the differences between a Confluence administrator and a system administrator.
