No option to open external links in a new tab/window

My Confluence version: 6.0.0

Why is there no support for allowing external links to open in a new tab or window in Confluence Cloud?

This seems like such a basic request and I've tried suggestions in a few articles but they all seem to be geared towards the server-based versions of Confluence.

Am I missing something?

This message is telling you that Confluence is not managing the user information this could be that it is set to link to another system such as LDAP or possibly JIRA and it is in that system that you need to change the personal information. 

A user with administrator permissions should check which system is managing your users following the instructions at https://confluence.atlassian.com/doc/configuring-user-directories-229838212.html
