Locked Page in Confluence

A user is trying to publish a page which seems to be locked.

The message he's getting is that there is an error processing your request.

Hi Upasana,

All paid download version include one year of maintenance. After which, if you wish to continue receiveing atlassian support and maintenance and upgrades, you will have to renew your license. Renewal prices are available here.

If you do not want to renew or continue receiving support or upgrades, you are not required to renew your license.

Both, just to confuse you.

Once you've bought it, you get a year of support and the right to upgrade to any version released before the end of that year. If you do not renew, you cannot upgrade past the end of the licence, and you don't get support. But everything continues to work exactly the same (except admin screens, some of which will remind you that support has lapsed)
