I am trying to find a solution to index and search across multiple google docs shared within the org I am a part of. I have found a few plugins in the marketplace which index the google docs as files in confluence cloud but what I want to make sure is that whether confluence is able to search for terms within the docs as well.
I would need to find this information out before I recommend it to the IT team over here to add it as a plugin at the org level.
Any help in this matter is appreciated.
Hi Jens,
For Confluence, you can do the same as the JIRA page states above. Instead of projects, replace as spaces.
However there is a difference. Confluence doesn't work very well with XML backups when they are very big, so I recommend to use a database backup dump to clone the instance to another one and then just delete the spaces which you don't want to be in the second instance. The process to clone the instance is this one.
Just note that to run 2 production instances of Confluence, you'll need 2 active licenses.
I hope this helps!
Cheers,
Rodrigo
