The Confluence Gallery Macro, is so slow to load the thumbnails it is unusable.

I have added about 150 photos from a company function to our site and displayed them in a gallery. I uploaded them in there original resolutions, about 3Mbytes each, as I want customers to be able to download them if they want to.

The problem is the gallery shows thumbnails, but the thumbnails appear to be full size images, just scaled in the browser (not on the server) and so the whole page takes an absolute age to render.

Is this macro just crap, or is there some way to fix this behaviour.

Hi Jo,

To insert the Expand macro into a page using the macro browser:

  1. In the Confluence editor, choose Insert > Other Macros.
  2. Find and select Expand macro.

Thanks and regards,
