How to create a new generation pages via REST API?

Nikolai Besschetnov
January 27, 2020

Hello Atlassian Community,

I'm trying to create a new page via REST API endpoints and so far a creation itself was successfully accomplished.

However. The new pages are created as if I used the old blank page, while the storage content is from the new generation pages. It finely ruins the layout and the editor of the page is old. Given admins still can't migrate existing old page to the new editor experience, as the feature is not rolled out yet, is it possible to create programatically a new generation page?

Best regards,

Nikolai

Hi Nick

In the new Confluence 5.3 and above, there some changes in the database schema in user referencing. It is possible that the ugpgrade did not properly reference the user to it's content.

I would suggest you to perform an force upgrade again on the user referencing:

  1. Go to this link <confluence-url>/admin/force-upgrade.action
  2. Force upgrade the following:
  • referencedUsersUserMappingUpgradeTask
  • userIndexingUpgradeTask
  • personalSpaceCreatorCheckUpgrade
  • userKeyReferenceUpgradeTask

Cheers,

Jing Hwa
