Markup macro in confluence cloud

HI Community,

Confluence server version we have Markup macro available, however I don't find the markup macro in confluence cloud. Markup macro is not available in cloud or do we need to install any add-on to get that macro. Thanks in advance.

 Best,

Ganesh.

Hi Ganesh -

Confluence Cloud supports Markdown natively. That's the most common use for the Markup macro in my case.  I would recommend getting comfortable with Markdown - "Confluence wiki" markup format won't be relevant.

Oh, also for those on Data Center, there's this request to add Markdown as the native editor syntax:  https://jira.atlassian.com/browse/CONFSERVER-55637 .

@John Price  Thanks for taking your time to writing to me.

I have searched for markdown macro. however I couldn't found it in our confluence cloud instance? Any suggestions? Thanks.

Best,

Ganesh.
