Hi all,
the new editor does not provide symbols (e.g. greek letters) anymore. Instead it is recommended to use the operating system symbols. (see https://support.atlassian.com/confluence-cloud/docs/use-symbols-emojis-and-special-characters/)
Basically, this works, i.e. I can generate symbols in MS Word and copy them to the editor, but this is very inconvenient. Does anyone have a smart solution to avoid this copy-paste-workaround?
Hi @Richard Herzog ,
There's no need to generate the symbols in MS Word and copy them to the editor -- you can generate them while you're working on a Confluence page, using your native operating system functionality.
macOS:
Type Control-Command-Space to pull up the Character Viewer. You can double-click the special character you want to use (such as this ellipsis …) Here's more from Apple on the Character Viewer.
Windows 10:

I hope this helps! Best wishes, Sharon
