Images 'breaking' after several days / weeks of being uploaded

Hi, some of the users in our organisation have reported that images have disappeared several weeks after they were uploaded.

Is there an error or any 'quirks' that anyone is aware of that causes images to break and no longer display?

Some of the documents are user guides that are needed for support so this is a big concern if the images will disappear without warning...

I was curious if there was a resolution to this question. I didn't see where the OP responded.

I have the same issue. I have several images that I uploaded but now don't display. I get the attached instead.Failedtoloadimage.PNG

Hi Matthew, where were you uploading from? Your local computer, via copying and pasting, something else?

Now that you mention it, I think the images that I have problems with were copied and pasted. Do you think that has something to do with it?

Depends where they were copied and pasted from. If they were copied and pasted from a page with restrictions on it that could be it.

Although afaik when you copy and paste it creates a 'fork' or the image (i.e. a new copy).

Just wondering if our systems may be having some issues parsing the data where you are copying from.

Hi, could you let me know more about the file types?

Are they large in size?

What does it look like when the files are missing, are they completely gone or showing as broken images?

Any extra information you can give me would be great.

p.s. I am away next week so apologies in advance for any subsequent slow response
