How can I hide archived pages from Children Display macro?

It looks like there is no option to hide "archived" pages from a Children Display macro. This looks like a bug to me.

Yup, I thought this too. When I first saw the Archive option I immediately thought it was a great way to deprecate obsolete content.

Nope. It's still searchable, still has the same access permissions. Totally useless in my use case.

I ended up moving the archived pages under another page, which I archived. So there’s a workaround, but it’s super clunky.
