Embed Google Sheet no longer available - bug or intentional?

Paige Meekison February 8, 2022

Recently the functionality to embed a Google Sheet into a Confluence page has been removed.

Using the widget connector, the URL does not embed anymore - it will merely add a link to the page. And if you go to the list of functionality to insert, it no longer appears in the list as a separate item.

My old embeds are still functioning but I cannot copy the Confluence page and change the URL on those either.  The box will disappear and be replaced by a link.

I'll be very disappointed if Atlassian has removed this functionality to make it a paid feature.  That would diminish Confluence's usefulness significantly as a way to collaborate with external users who do not allow access to their Confluence instance.
