Atlassian Companion won't launch

Using Chrome and Confluence on a Windows 10 PC (Surface laptop), I have a document displayed. I click Edit With, then find the Download for Windows button by hovering over it to see the white text and click it. Then it says, "Waiting for Companion to Launch". It never launches.

Never mind. I found Atlassian Companion.exe in my Downloads folder. I didn't see it in the Downloads bar across the bottom. Once I ran it, editing seems to be working.
