Visualize your APIs in Compass with Swagger UI

Hi, it’s Katie from the Compass product team, letting you know about a new integration we’ve just released. Compass is designed to help developers be more productive working within a distributed software architecture. We know that sometimes developers have trouble finding which APIs are available for use with a given microservice.

Enter: our new Swagger UI app. You can link any component in Compass to its OpenAPI specs generated as part of your regular build process. Make sure you have your chat channel set up as well, so other teams can reach out with questions!

There are two ways you can set this up:

  • Send your Swagger file via a webhook (which is useful when you’re already using Swagger files in your builds,) or

  • Add a public GitHub link that ends with either swagger.yml or swagger.json to your component’s details in Compass.

Click “Apps” at the top of your screen and install the Swagger UI app to get started.

Check out the demo video below, and let us know what you think. What else would you like to see on your Components page?
