🔗 Connect all your repos with Github multi-org

Break down knowledge silos and let your teams bring all their repos to Compass with Github multi-org support. The latest Github app lets you connect all of your Github instances so you can import repositories as components, manage and create components via Config-as-code, and get event and metric data from any of your organizations in one central location.

Learn more about Integrating Compass with GitHub or get started with these easy steps for Compass admins:

  1. 💻 Head over to your Compass apps UI

  2. ⚙️ Click configure or follow the install prompts if you haven’t already Github

  3. ➕ Add as many organizations as you want!

 

🔎 Search and filter by custom fields and custom field values

Custom fields let you attach unique and important information to any of your components, and now they make it easier and faster to navigate your software catalog with search and filter. You can find components that a particular field is attached to, and further refine your search with specific values in those fields. It’s easy to do:

  1. 💻 Navigate to your Compass component list

  2. 👉 Select what custom field you'd like to search for

  3. ✏️ Type in the value to search for in the chosen field

 

📚 Developer’s Edge: Build and share runbooks faster with less effort

Make dev life easier: learn how to can integrate your favorite tools and accomplish more with less effort in the new Developer’s Edge video series. Our first video shows how to use templates to create runbooks in Confluence and link them to Compass components so everyone can find context-specific information without having to search through a busy wiki. Check it out and stay tuned for future videos covering other Atlassian products and partner apps like LaunchDarkly and Snyk.
