Great news :)

I'm looking for a way to generate compass.yml to my components from your dashboard (Based on configured properties that were made).

I'm also looking for automatic updates to compass.yml (Webhooks or directly to Github) after changes through the UI.

How can we do it?

Thanks,

Hi @[deleted] ! Once you've set up your SCM app (sounds like you may be using GitHub?), navigate to any existing component and click on the "Component Settings" tab to get instructions on how to generate the compass.yml and add it to your repo.

Once a component is managed with a compass.yml, you will no longer make updates in the Compass UI (and in fact, most of the fields will be locked). You will need to make changes manually in the compass.yml to update the component. We've discussed the possibility of adding a two-way sync so that you can continue to update the component UI and see changes in your compass.yml, but that's not currently on our roadmap.

Hope that helps!
